The project aims to reduce the risk of flooding through 40 classical and natural engineering measures on sections of the Póvoa river, Loures and Trancão rivers and 14 tributaries, for a total length of 23,177 metres. It will cost almost EUR 6 million and is expected to benefit 55000 inhabitants, safeguard cultural heritage and reduce risks in polluting facilities in the event of flooding, also promoting the requalification of river ecosystems.
