The aim of the project “Establishment of the City Recreation Park and Youth House in Kauguros” (hereinafter – Project) is to increase the amount of private investments by investing in infrastructure conducive to the development of entrepreneurship, and to provide favourable conditions for business development in Jurmala city city by creating a recreation park and youth house in Kauguri, according to the economic specialisation of the city defined in Jūrmala City Development Programme 2014-2020. Project activities will be carried out in a plot of 32 355 square metres of land located in Kauguri part of Jurmala city, in the area between Talsi highway, Telšu Street, Mazo Nometņu Street and Lauku Street, building in this territory buildings suitable for merchants for economic activities, as well as the territory of the city recreation park – as a safe, visually located territory characteristic of Jurmala city landscape, suitable for multifunctional public activities – organisation of city culture and recreation events, recreation activities, etc. Construction and improvement of the territory adjacent to the buildings will ensure a constant flow of visitors, promoting the development of economic activity regardless of season and weather conditions. Activities planned in the project:1) Construction of access road, pedestrian street and car parks; 2) Water management public service infrastructure construction works (water and sewerage construction works);3) Heat supply infrastructure construction works; 4) Electricity connection construction works;5) Construction of a youth house and Public Service Building and construction of the adjacent infrastructure of the park. According to the normative regulation of the construction industry construction supervision and author supervision will be ensured.Project Outcome Indicators:1) Number of merchants who have benefited from the infrastructure created within the Project – 5 merchants;2) Number of newly created jobs in merchants who have benefited from investments in infrastructure – 20 workplaces; 3) From the Project invested in infrastructure – 5 merchants; 2) number of newly created jobs in merchants who have benefited from investments in infrastructure, which have benefited from investments in infrastructure – 20 workplaces; 3) from the Project is EUR 40 1117484 % of non-financial investments of merchants and in non-material investments in non-material investments in non-material investments in non-material assets – EUR 1370689.29.83 The project is the total cost of the project, or the public budget is EUR 1440865.05.
