The main goal of the project “Development of the Business Environment in Liepaja, Round II” (hereinafter – Project) is to increase the amount of private investments in Liepaja by investing in city infrastructure according to economic specialisation of territories defined in the municipal development programme and based on the needs of merchants. It will rebuilt Kapsēdes Street in the section from Grīzupes Street to the Liepaja border, because the current street infrastructure and its territory is unsuitable for business development and opportunities for the inhabitants to move successfully in this territory.The project will result in new asphalt concrete and paving stones, lighting from the beginning of the street to the end of the bus at Kapsēdes Street 6, new household drainage and rainwater sewers will be restored, as well as the construction of a bicycle part of the telecommunications network to the end of the bus at Kapsēdes Street, as well as the construction of the existing household sewerage and rainwater drainage systems, as well as the construction of the telecommunications network. Project partners have confirmed that they plan to create at least 25 new jobs and invest 1.572 million private investments. The merchant, who is planning to invest more than EUR 500000 in non-financial investment (Baltic Solar Factory Ltd.), has also submitted its business plan for approval because the company is newly established. During the implementation of the project construction supervision and author supervision, as well as publicity measures will be ensured.The project is planned to be implemented within 15 months.The total project costs are EUR 1846285,46. Planned co-financing from the ERDF – EUR 1512799,67, which is 85 % of the eligible costs of the Project.
