The aim of the project “Enhancement of energy efficiency at Daugavpils University Service Hotel Sporta iela 6, Daugavpils” is to promote the improvement of energy efficiency, smart energy management and the use of renewable energy resources. In order to reach the goal, complex insulation measures of the service hotel building will be carried out within the framework of the project: Insulated facade, roofing, cap and basement coverings, replaced heating system, heating unit and hot water supply system. Smart energy management after completion of the project will be provided thanks to the management and control of the heating unit built in the building by telemetry, as well as the installed solar collectors and heat pump power management and control possibilities, while the use of renewable energy for hot water will be ensured by installing solar collectors on the roof of the building and constructing a heat pump. Improving the energy efficiency of the building, smart energy management and the use of renewable energy sources. Output indicators for 2018: Reduction of annual primary energy consumption in public buildings – 384,758 MWh/year; Additional capacity from renewable energy sources: 0,10742 MW; Estimated greenhouse gas reduction per year – 78.131 CO2 equivalent tons.The total eligible funding of the project is EUR 912840.55, including ERDF funding EUR 775914.47 and state budget funding EUR 136926.08. Ineligible costs related to economic activity amount to EUR 53128,29 per 293,80 square metres. Total cost of the project – EUR 965968,84.The estimated duration of the project is 27 months from the date of conclusion of the contract.
