Energy efficiency improvement of Rezekne city secondary school building at 17 Dārzu Street, Rezekne

The aim of the project is to promote energy efficiency improvement in Rezekne city secondary school building 2 Dārzu Street 17, Rezekne by performing reconstruction works that reduce primary energy consumption and municipal expenditure on heating, thus ensuring the efficiency of investments both in terms of costs and socioeconomic benefits.The main activities of the project are energy efficiency improvement works – insulation of exterior walls and caps; Roof covering and floor insulation; Replacement of windows; Construction and reconstruction of the ventilation system and their elements; Reconstruction of the heating system and their elements; Replacement of lighting to new LED luminaires; Development and expertise of the construction project; According to the data of the building’s energy certificate (its report), the project will result in a reduction of primary energy consumption for the building from 1 391 354.45 KWh/year to 852 335.51 KWh/year (saving of 539018,94 kWh/year) and CO2 emissions from 249.59 t CO2/year to 141.71 t CO2 per year (reduction of 107,88 t CO2/year).The project idea is included in the development plan of the city. March 2019 – June 2020. Project total eligible costs: EUR 1 256 353.32, of which ERDF funding is EUR 758 586.14, state grant EUR 124 504.61, municipal funding EUR 373 262.57. Ineligible costs of the project EUR 44 608.29.
