Reconstruction of Jūrmala Sports School swimming pool building and improvement of energy efficiency

The aim of the project – to reduce the annual consumption of primary energy in the swimming pool building of Jūrmala Sports School, 13 k-4, in Jurmala by 318.09 kWh/m², by investing in the municipal building, to promote energy efficiency and reduction of municipal expenditure on heating. 1. Insulation of the transition floor covering of the building exterior, including cap and foundation; 2. Insulation of roof (upper cover), creation of new roofing; 3. Replacement of windows and doors to new dense windows and doors; 4. Reconstruction of the heating system, including modernisation of the heating unit; 5. Installation of new LED-type energy efficient lighting and construction of new internal wiring system. 6. Reconstruction of the ventilation system;7. Reconstruction of the water main and sewerage system;8. Construction of a basin cover;9. Reconstruction of the building’s indoor and engineering communications. The project results in the planned average heat consumption for heating after renovation – 61,87 kWh/m² per year, reduction of annual primary energy consumption after completion of works – 318.09 kWh/m² per year, estimated annual greenhouse gas reduction (CO2 equivalent tons) – 193.35 t per year, as well as energy efficiency improvement and reconstruction of a building with a total area of 3020.20 m². Total cost of the project – EUR 2959110,15, incl. Co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund – EUR 471756,78; State budget grant – EUR 122693,47; Municipal funding – EUR 695295,05 Indirectable costs – EUR 1669364.85. The project is planned to be implemented in 22 (twenty-two) months.
