Increasing energy efficiency of Jelgava municipality preschool educational institution “Sprīdītis”

The aim of the project is to increase energy efficiency in Jelgava municipality’s pre-school educational institution “Sprīdītis” (hereinafter – PII “Sprīdītis”), Tērvetes Street 6, by reducing thermal energy consumption and related costs in the building owned by the municipality. Facade insulation;2. Insulation of the part of the cap;3. Replacement of windows and external doors, 4. Cellar cover insulation;5. Attic insulation;6. Construction of new gable roofs with attic;7. Indoor heating system renovation;8. Heating system balancing;9. Cleaning and reconstruction of the ventilation system;10. Modernisation of the lighting system; 11. Publicity activities.By carrying out the planned activities of the project, PII “Sprīdītis” will provide a modern learning and work environment, the energy efficiency level of the building is increased and the long-term costs of heat energy consumption are reduced.The total cost of the project is EUR 1271885.91, of which EUR 396762.00 is the European Regional Development Fund funding, EUR 42898.09 is the state budget grant to local governments and EUR 832225.82 is co-financing by Jelgava city municipality. Planned results after project implementation: 1. Reduction in annual primary energy consumption of 182229.35 kWh/year; 2. Co2 greenhouse gas reduction of 43.73 CO2/t/year; 3. The energy efficiency assessment of the building has been improved per 84.45 kWh/m²/year.The planned implementation period of the project: August 2018 – July 2019.
