The aim of the project “Flood risk reduction measures in Ventspils city” (hereafter – Project) is to create Ventspils city surface run-off and rainwater drainage infrastructure in order to adapt the risk of flooding to the affected areas in the city and to provide the municipality’s inhabitants with a better environment of living, as well as to increase the competitiveness of the economic activity for the merchants located in the territory of the river bridge from the territory of the Venta Street to the city’s floodwater management plan. European Regional Development Fund (hereinafter – ERDF) support amount of EUR 1476337,22 (85 % of total costs).Reallocated activities will contribute to the Baltic Sea Region Strategy goals by reducing the possibility of spreading pollution from Ventspils flood risk areas in the Baltic Sea.
