Important preservation and development of cultural heritage in Zemgale region

The aim of the project is to preserve, protect and develop significant cultural heritage in Zemgale by restoring national cultural monuments in Jelgava, Dobele, Bauska, by creating new, mutually complementary tourism services, thus ensuring their socioeconomic potential development and integration into the local economic structure in accordance with Jelgava city, Bauska and Dobele municipality development programs.Establishment of new architecture monument of national importance – buildings in Vecpilsētas iela 14, Jelgava, Jelgava city and monument of monument of architecture in Livona monument, building of monument of architecture of Livonian and Dobele district development programs.Project activities: 1)Establishment of the architecture monument – buildings in Vecpilsētas iela 14, Jelgava and Jelgava monument – monument of architecture of Livonian city, Bauska and Dobele municipality development services; 50.Establish architectural monument – buildings on Vecpilsētas iela 14, Jelgava, and in Jelgava monument – restoration of monument of architecture in Jelgava city, Bauskas and Dobele municipality building. Simeon and St. Restoration of paintings of Anne Orthodox cathedral, improvement of services;5) architectural monument of national importance – Jelgava Roman Catholic Cathedral crosses of Roman Catholic Virgin Mary and reconstruction of roofing of the tower 1st stage, service improvement;6) project management and project implementation; 7) implementation of informative and publicity events of the project.Project’s planned results:•supported cultural heritage objects and tourism objects cultural heritage and cultural heritage objects in 2023, 500 visit to nature heritage in 2023. Total project costs EUR 7904439,57, incl. ERDF funding EUR 2 500 000.00, state budget grant to municipalities EUR 105 308.82, municipal funding EUR 5276790,60 (including ineligible costs of EUR 4960864,13) and private funding of EUR 22340.15 (including ineligible costs 2398.98). 44 months – from 2 January 2018 to 1 September 2021.
