The aim of the project is reconstruction of the road connecting section from Maskavas street to railway, regenerating degraded areas in accordance with the municipal development programme, ensuring environmentally friendly and environmentally sustainable territorial growth and job creation. The main action to achieve the goal is reconstruction of the road connecting section by rebuilding of asphalt concrete road surface and construction or reconstruction of underground engineering communications, i.e. a new street lighting, a new rain sewer system, a new main water pipe and household sewerage networks, including a pump station, will be constructed. The existing “Sadales tīkls” AS electricity networks (businesses outside the roadway part without changing technical parameters) and TET LLC optical networks will be rebuilt (the airline will be dismantled and built underground cable). Rebuildable length of road section – 760 m. The planned activities of the project will result in at least 20 new jobs, attracted non-financial investments of at least EUR 818897, the area of degraded area will be reduced by 0.78 ha. Total expenditure of the project is EUR 1395173,83, of which total eligible expenditure EUR 1238428,63. 100 % of the eligible expenditure up to a maximum of EUR 1238428,63 of which: Funding from the European Regional Development Fund: 66,12 % of eligible expenditure, not exceeding EUR 818897,00, State budget grant to municipalities: 3,50 % of eligible expenditure up to a maximum of EUR 43 353,37 Local Government funding: 30,38 % of eligible expenditure up to a maximum of EUR 376 178,26 Total ineligible expenditure of the project: EUR 156745,20 to be financed by the municipality. The project is planned to start in the 3rd quarter of 2020 and to be implemented by the end of the 3rd quarter of 2021.
