In order to promote the development of the industrial territory of the Daugavpils city warehouse zone and to provide a favourable environment for business development, it is necessary to carry out works to improve the existing infrastructure that would contribute to increasing competitiveness and development of economic activity in the territory of the city.The aim of the project “Promoting regeneration and improvement of the availability of industrial territory of the warehouse zone of the prison warehouse area of Daugavpils” is to revitalise the industrial territory of the Daugavpils City Prison warehouse area by organising public infrastructure for attracting private investments, ensuring environmentally friendly and environmental sustainability-promoting territorial growth, i.e. by promoting the main activities of the project1. Reconstruction of Motor Street from Bērzu iela (05000350201) to Vaļņu iela with reconstruction of the industrial zone of Motoru Street, Daugavpils, including installation of engineering communications (construction/construction of lighting, reconstruction of heating networks, construction of external water mains and external household sewerage, construction of power supply networks, etc.).2. Provision of author supervision services in accordance with the construction regulations of the Republic of Latvia;3. Provision of construction supervision services in accordance with the current construction regulations of the Republic of Latvia.Project results: Renovated degraded area of 4.4942 ha, 87 new jobs created and attracted private investments in the amount of EUR 1 053 375.The total project costs are EUR 4150504.99 and the eligible amount of the project is EUR 2927501.05, of which: ERDF funding 85 % – EUR 2488375.88; State budget grant 4.5 % – EUR 131737.54.Co-financing of Daugavpils City Council 10.5 % – EUR 307387.62; The ineligible amount of the project is EUR 1223003.94. The agreement on the implementation of the project will be concluded by August 31, 2020, but project activities will be implemented from June 2021 to December 2022.In accordance with Cabinet Regulations No. 645 the development of technical documentation was started before submission of the project application form, as well as cost-benefit analysis of the project was carried out.
