The aim of the project “Recovery of degraded industrial territories in Daugavpils city and Daugavpils county territories” is revitalisation of industrial territories of Daugavpils city and Daugavpils region by adjusting public infrastructure for attracting private investments, thus facilitating territorial growth and creation of new jobs in the city and region. The planned activities within the project will promote common socio-economic goals, namely, creation of new jobs, restoration of degraded areas, development of business environment and territorial growth. Cooperation partner – public service provider SIA “Daugavpils Water”, to which the built water management infrastructure at the section of Rūza Street will be transferred for management and maintenance, increasing the partnership’s equity capital for the value of the infrastructure.The planned project activities:1. Development of the supporting technical documentation, including construction expertise;2.Project management; 3.Renovation of industrial territory infrastructure in Daugavpils city: Industrial street reconstruction with the necessary engineering networks; Reconstruction of Dunduru Street with two access roads with the necessary engineering networks; Reconstruction of A.Pumpura Street between Bauskas Street and Siguldas Street, reconstruction of Siguldas Street from A.Pumpura Street to Silicu Street and the rebuilding of Silicu Street in the section from Siguldas Street to Jelgavas Street, Daugavpils Street with the necessary engineering networks and construction of a parking lot.4.Revisalisation of the degraded territory of Randene in Kalkūnes parish, Daugavpils Municipality: Reconstruction of elementary school building into light industrial premises, production warehouse construction; Dismantling of slums – demolition of awning.5.Operation of supervision services in accordance with the construction regulations of the Republic of Latvia;6. Provision of construction supervision services in accordance with the construction regulations of the Republic of Latvia in force;7. Publicity of the project.Total results of the project: Renovated degraded area of 21.07 ha, 171 new jobs, attracted private investments in the amount of EUR 23 450 000. VAT.
