The aim of the project is to maintain a consistently high level of safety in the Freeport of Ventspils by rebuilding and renovation of the hydrotechnical structures of the port, thus maintaining the existing maritime safety in the port’s aquatorium and preventing its decline. The main activities of the project are the restoration of the Ventspils Freeport-sharing infrastructure – renewal of the North and South Pieces, restoration and rebuilding of coastline reinforcements. The most significant expected project results and economic benefits:- maintain high navigation security in accordance with the requirements of port security in Ventspils Free Port;- Contribution of undisturbed vessel traffic from 14 m/s to the efficacies of the port, maritime safety and sustainability of port functionality related to the weather constraints of Ventspils Freeport, i.e. maintaining port power at wind speeds to 14 m/screw from the seagoing ship-to-go in the equitivity-related cost of the off-port related COOS with respect to weather conditions, i.e. maintaining port capacity at wind speeds up to 14 m/s of the off-loading of the vessel, from the high level of the operational risks in the port-forward-in-to-go of the related COOS with the weather conditions imposed by the Ventspils Free Port, i.e. maintaining the port capacity at wind speeds up to 14 m/s of the off-loading of the vessel, from the high level of the efficiencies of the port, from the reduction of the risks of the offshore ship, and the sustainability of the related COOS related to the weather conditions of the Ventspils Freeport, i.e. maintaining the port’s non-domestic capacity at wind speeds up to 14 m/s, from the high level of the vessel-to-join effect in the port, from the efficacies of the vessel from the efficiencies in the port, with the related COs and the sustainability of the port functionality with the temporal limits of the conditions of the Ventspils Freeport, i.e. maintaining the port’s power at wind speed up to 14 m from the marine ship-to-matchery, the undisturbed operation of the vessel from the seaborne from the efficiencies of the vessel, from the efficacies in the port, and the sustainability of the associated COOS in the area of CO2 with respect to the weather conditions of the Ventspils Freeport. The total estimated cost of the project (eligible and ineligible) is EUR 21905933.61 including VAT. The eligible costs are EUR 18142562,50 excluding VAT. The planned co-financing from the EU Cohesion Fund for 85 % of the eligible costs is EUR 15 421 178.12. Private co-financing of Ventspils Freeport Authority in the amount of 15 % of eligible costs is EUR 2 721 384.38.
