Rebuilding of arc highway in the section from Kalnciema road to Jelgava administrative border

The aim of the project is to prevent a disruption of the transport infrastructure – a narrow space and create an alternative route for transit and freight transport in Jelgava city by reconstructing the Loka section from Kalnciema road to Jelgava administrative border.The main activities of the project are:1.Construction of pedestrians and bicycle roads, incl.:1.1.Transformation of the part of the road in length from Kalnciema road to the administrative border of Jelgava. 43 months – from 1 December 2017 until 30 June 2021.The total project costs are EUR 21 679 350.03 – Cohesion Fund financing EUR 12 795 946,00 state budget grant to municipalities EUR 564 527,03 and municipal funding EUR 8 318 877,00 Results: It is planned to rebuild the Loka highways, in the section from Kalnciema road to Jelgava administrative border, for 4.64 km, improving the link between the current transit and freight transport route and the road infrastructure of the TEN-T comprehensive network. The entire section of the Loka highway to be rebuilt within the project is located in the administrative territory of Jelgava city.
