Development of safe and environmentally friendly infrastructure at Riga International Airport

Riga International Airport is the largest international aviation company in the Baltics and is the region’s main air traffic hub. Riga Airport provides both aviation and non-aviation services. The aim of the project is to improve environmental and safety measures at Riga Airport by implementing investment projects related to reducing environmental impact and increasing security requirements, at the same time contributing to the achievement of climate and energy efficiency policy goals, according to the increasing turnover volumes. The project also plans to implement such activities related to the implementation of airport security and aviation rescue functions, which qualify as activities related to the implementation of the state authority, ensuring the improvement of civil aviation security measures. Main investment projects: 1.The second fast exit; 2.Reconstruction of the building of technical services; 3.Reconstruction of the rainwater drainage system and Muzeja street; 4.Equipment of the manoeuvring path with axle lights; 5.Building of Heliopters; 6.reduction of carbon dioxide emissions in the airport territory lighting; 7.3. Standard EDS equipment; within the project total investments are EUR 23049010, of which the planned activities related to the performance of the airport’s economic engines are EUR 13511489, while with the implementation of the ground clearance, achieving a speedy performance within the project, providing a performance period of EUR 3, of which the planned activities related to the performance of the airport’s economic engine are EUR 13511489, while with the implementation of the public service, with the implementation of the planned performance of the civil service.
