The aim of the project is to promote the maintenance of working capacity and employment of older persons.¶Within the project the following support measures are planned for the target group of the project – persons at risk of unemployment from the age of 50, as well as merchants and state or local government institutions (hereinafter – employers): ¶¶1) Public awareness-raising activities to promote longer and better working lives – will raise public awareness (including employers and older workers) about trends in the ageing of the labour force and possible solutions to promote longer and better working lives. ¶As a result: Informative measures and health promotion and disease prevention measures will be provided, including conferences, regional seminars, discussions, consultations.2) Evaluation of work environment and human resources potential – evaluation of work environment and human resources potential, recommendations for improving the situation of the elderly employed person. Evaluation methodology will be developed, developed 2 Handbooks for managing one ageing for employers and one NVA employees working with the target group, development of ageing management plans for companies, which will also include information on measures to be taken by employees. ¶3) Support activities for target group: ¶- career consultations; ¶- transfer of skills (informal education) ¶- mentoring (informal education) ¶- measures to increase competitiveness; ¶- workplace adjustment; ¶- health promotion measures. ¶4) Training of project staff and other NVA staff(career consultants) to work with older people and employers. ¶As a result: Project implementation personnel and other NVA employees (career consultants) will be trained to provide support to persons over the age of 50. ¶As a result: An evaluation of the results and results will be developed to ensure the development of evidence-based policies to promote active ageing. ¶6) Collective discussions on aging management issues – ensure the cooperation partner of the Latvian Employers Confederation of Latvia (hereinafter – LDDK) and the Free Trade Union Confederation of Latvia (hereinafter – LBAS), which will negotiate with employers on the inclusion of aging management issues in collective agreements, employment agreements or other employer documents binding employers. ¶As a result: Employers will include ageing management issues in their employment agreements, collective agreements or other documents of employers.¶As a result of the project – number of older persons employed with support 500.Project implementation is planned in cooperation with cooperation partners – LDDK and LBAS. The project is planned to be implemented from 1 January 2017 to 31 August 2020. The total eligible funding available for the project is EUR 1 896 211, including the European Social Fund funding – EUR 1 611 779 and the state budget funding – EUR 284 432. The implementation of the activities started before submitting the project application to the Central Finance and Contracts Agency (hereinafter referred to as the CFLA) as of 26 September 2016.
