STEM, modernisation of health care and arts study programmes at Daugavpils University

The aim of the project is to increase the number of modernised STEM, health care and arts study programmes in Daugavpils University (DU). The project intends to develop the material-technical and informative base of study programmes by purchasing hardware, laboratory materials, equipment and tools, as well as supplementing library collections and developing information technology equipment to be able to offer high-quality, international standards and competitive education. The planned activities include the purchase of equipment and equipment for STEM study directions (including IT, Computer Engineering and Computer Science); Protection of the environment; Chemistry, chemical technologies and biotechnologies; Physics, Material Science, Mathematics and Statistics; Life sciences), as well as study direction Health care and modernisation of study course Arts study programmes. STEM study programmes to be modernised within the project: PSP Information Technology (41481), PBSP Information Technology (42481), ABSP Computer Science (43481), AMSP Computer Science (45481); ABSP Environmental Science (43850), PMSP Environmental Planning (47850); ABOD Chemical (43440), AMOD Chemistry (45440); ABSP Physics (43440), AMSP, Physics (45440), DSP Solids Physics (51440), ABSP Mathematics (43460), AMSP Mathematics (45460), DSP Mathematics (51460); ABSP Biology (43420), AMSP Biology (45420), AMSP Nature Reserve (45420), DSP Biology (51420); PBSP Physiotherapy (42722); PBSP Design (42214),PBSP Art Management (42211), PBSP Music (42212), PMSP Art (47211), PMSP Music (47212). Service provision performance in the supported higher education infrastructure in the year of completion of the project – 1020 persons.The total funding of the project is EUR 1425102,99, including ERDF funding EUR 1211337,54 and state budget funding of EUR 213765,45.The estimated duration of the project is 37 months, implementation period: December 2017–December 2020.
