The overall objective of the project is to increase the number of advanced study programmes of STEM, including the medical and creative industries. The specific aim of the project is to increase the number of modernised RTU STEM study programmes by improving and developing RTU infrastructure. RTU infrastructure development strategy focuses on development of territorially concentrated study and scientific work infrastructure and strengthening strategic specialisation. With the help of this project RTU will continue to invest in areas where reform or restructuring objectives have not yet been achieved and this support will be a logical continuation of investments that have already been made or are taking place and will be based on 2008. Experience gained during the period of 2015 and achieved results and RTU Development Strategy 2015. The project is planned to be implemented for 48 months from 15 September 2017 to 14 September 2021 and its total eligible costs are EUR 11 725 073.00 (including ERDF funding – EUR 9 966 312.05 and state budget funding – EUR 1 758 760.95)
