The aim of the project “Modernisation of Liepaja Comprehensive Schools” (hereinafter – Project) is to modernise five schools of general education in Liepaja in order to ensure gradual implementation of the content of formal education based on the planned competence approach, creating a modern and ergonomic learning environment and providing technological equipment.In order to achieve the goal of specific support defined in the Cabinet Regulations, five schools of general education in Liepaja (secondary school, 5th secondary school, 6th secondary school, 10nd secondary school and 12 secondary school) are planned to carry out the following activities. Improving and developing an ergonomic learning environment2. Creation and installation of new cabinets of natural sciences3. Purchase of furniture for the provision of ergonomic learning environments4. Implementation and improvement of ICT solutions and purchase of the necessary ICT equipment5. The project was started in 2017 and it is planned to be completed within 9 (nine) months after the conclusion of the agreement with the CFLA on project implementation.Project total costs: EUR 6 474 276,31, including eligible EUR 6 240 932,18, of which 85 % ERDF contribution – EUR 5 304 792,35, State budget grant – EUR 234 034,96 and municipal co-financing – EUR 702 104,87, as well as ineligible costs of EUR 233 344,13. Five mainstream education institutions have been modernised, with a total of 3611 pupils enrolled.
