Four educational institutions – Tukums Secondary School 2, Tukums Rainis Gymnasium, Tukums Elementary School 2 and Tukums E.Birznieks-Upīša E.Birznieks-Upīša E.Birznieks-Upīša E.Birznieks-Upīša E.Birznieks-Upīša E.Birznieka-Upīša E.Birznieks-Upīša E.Birznieks-Upīša E. The aim of the project is to modernise four general education institutions, to ensure the availability of general education services in accordance with the needs of students, improving the learning environment in the municipality.The building of Tukums 2 secondary school will be completely rebuilt. As a result of the project the primary school classes, which are located in the building at 2A Spartaka Street in Tukums, will be moved to the building at Raudas Street 16, Tukums. The school building at Raudas Street 16, Tukums, will be reconstructed, as a result of which the school building will be completely rebuilt and a new extension will be built. The school will create an ergonomic environment for pupils – furniture and equipment, rebuilt ventilation system and improved lighting. A computer network will be established in the school building and the existing network will be modernised; Wireless internet connection is created, as well as necessary ICT equipment will be purchased. In Tukums Rainis Gymnasium and its service hotel, Tukums 2nd Primary School and Tukums E.Birznieks-Upīša elementary school project will introduce new information and communication technology solutions and equipment. It is planned to purchase new equipment for natural science offices.Tukuma Municipality institutions of general education improve the material technical base every year, however, there is still much need to improve the technical condition, improvement and materialisation of school buildings. The implementation of the project in schools will eliminate a number of needs and will significantly improve the learning environment. The project is planned to be implemented from March 2018 to August 2022. Total eligible project amount EUR 5302954,19, of which ERDF funding EUR 4507511.05.
