The aim of the project shall be: Modernise the vocational education competence centre Daugavpils School of Design and Art “Saules School”, ensuring the compatibility of the learning environment with the development of economic sectors and improving the availability of vocational education.The main activities of the project: 1)buildings in Daugavpils, Saules iela 6/8, 3rd floor;2) construction of the building site, demolition of environment degrading buildings (buildings);3)new buildings – secondary school and common space block;4) Buildings in Daugavpils, Saules Street 2 reconstruction of premises for visual art acquisition and methodical center;5) setting up of a science cabinet and provision of equipment for multimedia design education programme;6 project supervision;6) Authentic project results. Expected number of students in 2023: Mid-term education – 257 students, including not less than 117 students on 31 December 2018, studying in a single school complex consisting of modern, ergonomic and technology-provided premises in the historical territory of the school (between Sun, Museum and Daugavas Streets).Project Duration: 31 month from the date of conclusion of the AgreementProject total costs: EUR 5703471,94 of which: eligible: EUR 2497325,00, of which EUR 2122726,00 – ERDF resources; – EUR 112379,70 – State budget grant; – EUR 262219,30 – municipal funding; Ineligible: EUR 3206146,94
