The aim of the project is to improve access to health promotion and disease prevention services in the city of Jurmala, especially for those at risk of poverty and social exclusion, by implementing complex health promotion and disease prevention measures in accordance with the individual needs of each target group, involving at least 5285 people at risk of poverty and social exclusion and increasing their awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and promoting habit changes in health strengthening and conserving habits in health promotion and disease prevention measures. The largest share in Jurmala is formed by children and residents aged over 54 years, therefore the largest project measures are planned for these target groups. As a result of the implementation of the project it is planned to involve at least 17 % of the population at risk of poverty and social exclusion in disease prevention and health promotion activities, increasing their awareness of the importance of healthy lifestyles and promoting behavioural changes in health.The total project costs are EUR 963376.42, of which EUR 818869.96 is European Social Fund funding and EUR 144506.46 – state budget funding. Implementation of the project is planned from April 19, 2017 until December 31, 2023.
