The aim of the project “We for Healthy Riga!” (hereinafter – Project) is to improve access to health promotion and disease prevention services, especially for those at risk of poverty and social exclusion, as well as to the poor and under-population, the unemployed, persons with disabilities, people over 54 years of age, children and other groups at risk, implementing local, comprehensive, socially attractive and active measures to promote physical, mental and social health in the territory of Riga City Municipality. Within the framework of the project, the following measures will be available to all citizens, but especially those who are eligible for the project specific support target groups: Measures 1 to promote physical activities;2. measures for the development of healthy life skills;3. measures to promote mental health;4.Specialised consultative events and lessons; 5.Health checks and disease prevention measures.Planned to reach and even exceed the output indicators set by the project, which are 12 751 different activity units held, which are sufficient to regularly offer the population the opportunity to engage in health-enhancing activities. The costs of the planned activities of the project were determined on the basis of market research and analysis of the offers submitted in the previous period, setting similar cost ceilings and similar costs for similar activities. The project will be implemented from 20 March 2017 to 1 June 2023.
