The aim of the project is to improve access to medical treatment and treatment support persons providing services in the priority areas of health – cardiovascular, oncology, children, starting from the perinatal and neonatal period and mental health outside Riga. Target group of the project: Medical practitioners and medical practitioners support persons. The main actions to be supported by the project: One-off resettlement compensation for work in regions outside Riga, fixed-term compensation of monthly subsistence expenses for work in regions outside Riga, as well as support measures for a family doctor who has reached an old-age pension who wants to transfer the practice of a family doctor outside Riga and the family doctor who takes over this practice of a family doctor, providing for compensation of a certain amount for both doctors. The planned number of medical practitioners attracted outside Riga, who have received support in order to promote attraction of these persons into working territorial units outside Riga – 1422. Number of persons working in territorial units outside Riga for a year after receiving support – 506 persons. Time of implementation of the project: December 2017–September 2023. Total cost of the project: EUR 9 960102, including 85 % of the European Social Fund (EUR 8 466 086.66) and 15 % of the national budget (EUR 1 494 015.34).
