The aim of the project is to improve access to quality health care services, especially for those at risk of social and territorial exclusion and poverty, by developing the infrastructure of SIA “Riga East Clinical University Hospital”, which is partly or completely related to the provision of emergency medical assistance and health care services in the cardiovascular and oncology fields. In order to achieve the project goal, within the project activities will be carried out the medical department of the hospital “Gaiļezers” LLC “Riga East Clinical University Hospital”, whose activities are related to the provision of health care services in the field of cardiovascular, as well as oncology, renovation of premises, reconstruction of engineering communications necessary for the functioning of these departments, as well as replacement of 8 (eight) elevators necessary to ensure the flow of patients. Main project activities:1.Project management.2.Replacement of the lifts in the hospital “Gaiļezers”.3.Establishment of the center of outpatient surgical services. Replacement of engineering communications in medical departments; 5.Provision of information and publicity measures.As a result of the project activities, SIA ""Riga East Clinical University Hospital" hospital "Gaiļezers" infrastructure, which is related to the provision of health care services in the cardiovascular and oncology field, will be improved. The project results to be achieved:?Restoration of hospital “Gaiļezers” treatment department premises with an area of at least 13330 m²;?have been replaced 8 (eight) elevators of the hospital “Gaiļezers”.The project activities are planned to be implemented within 64 months from the signing of the contract on project implementation. Planned project implementation period from 21 September 2017 to December 31, 2022. Before signing of the contract on project implementation it is planned to start (from June 14, 2017) procurement for elevator replacement at the stationary “Gaiļezers”, at the same time starting project management and information and publicity activities. The total estimated eligible costs of the project are EUR 17888467,00, including the amount of European Regional Development Fund support – EUR 15205196,95.
