The major works on the sections to be refurbished under this project were carried out between 1985 and 1993. The defect of the details in this section has reached a critical limit for ongoing maintenance and safety. The aim of the project is to ensure an increase in the safety, comfort and quality of railway traffic on the Tapa-Narva railway section, together with an increase in the maximum permissible speed of passenger trains up to 135 km/h. In order to achieve the objective, the reconstruction of the sections on the Tapa-Narva line will be carried out according to the technical condition.
