Between 1922 and 1967, 6.2 million tonnes of waste was piled to Kiviõli’s ash hill during the production of oil shale. In 2013, we opened a ski and adventure tourism centre all year round on an artificial hill at a height of 90 m. In order to mitigate the risks of poor winters and make the summer season more attractive, we are creating many exciting attractions for families with children and marketing networking services. As a result of the project, an additional 34000 visitors will visit the region from spring to autumn.
