The general objective is to link and strengthen, in practice, the qualifications and skills of the staff of the national authorities responsible for crisis management, who cooperate in the case of nuclear and radiological accidents and major accidents involving dangerous substances, resulting from acts of ill-will, with the continuously increasing CBRN requirements in order to make emergency management activities in the CBRN field more effective. This facilitates the transition from theory to practice, ensuring the development of work skills and knowledge building, with the ultimate aim of protecting the population and, in an emergency, limiting the loss of life and ensuring the protection of the population and specialised forces executing the intervention. Details of the expected contribution of the major project to the achievement of result indicators under the specific objectives of the priority axis or axes of the programme: The coherence of the project with Priority Axis 5 “Promoting climate change adaptability, risk prevention and management”, Specific objective 5.2 “Increasing preparedness for rapid and efficient disaster response of response crews” is ensured by the procurement of CBRN intervention autos and the establishment and equipping of the necessary preparedness facilities for CBRN emergency management. As regards the project’s contribution to the achievement of the 2S49 result indicator, the project aims to consolidate the value of 12.06 minutes after the establishment of the base and the acquisition of the vehicles and equipment/equipment. Another result indicator has been defined in this project, Average time to respond to CBRN situations. This indicator represents the average time elapsed between the time of receipt of the emergency call and the time of completion of the intervention device by the response crews arriving at the site of the event. The technical and economic indicators of the feasibility study “Development of preparedness facilities for the management of CBRN emergency situations generated by acts of bad will” were approved by Government Decision No 395 of 21 May 2020.
