RO-WIN – Success in Romania

The general objective of the project (the purpose) is to encourage the entrepreneurial initiatives of the Romanians in Diaspora by providing incentives for the development of some businesses in the 7 less developed regions of Romania, in order to develop the economic environment and increase employment. The positive effect that the project will generate in the long term is both one with impact in the 7 less developed regions of Romania, as well as at the level of the people from Diaspora who want to return to the country for the opening of a business. In the long term, this positive effect can be quantified in the following elements: — Increasing the employment rate in the 7 less developed regions of Romania by using the know-how of people in the diaspora and the local workforce; — Integration into the labour market of the 7 less developed regions of Romania or reinsertion professional of some people who left the country to work/study in diaspora; — Increasing the chances of immediate employment for Romanian students/graduates from the diaspora and the opportunity to return to Romania; — Supporting the Romanian economic environment through SMEs established in the 7 less developed regions and by providing capital for business start-ups; — Increasing the level of taxes and contributions to the local and national budget by: the new entities established, the new paid jobs/salaries and the new human resources valued; — Increasing the level of professional skills specific to entrepreneurial activities and updating the knowledge about the labor market and legislation in Romania, among a significant number of Romanians in the diaspora, which will constitute a critical mass and can disseminate the results of the project; — The development of the national entrepreneurial environment through the development of an online interaction platform that will also contribute to the dissemination of project results among other categories of people; this platform also contributes to ensuring the sustainability of the project; — Developing partnerships at national and trans-national level and facilitating the access of young entrepreneurs from diaspora to networks of entrepreneurs with experience in the targeted field of activity; — Developing a strategy/study to support entrepreneurship and its benefits and adapt to the reality of the labour market in the less developed regions of Romania, priority sectors, obstacles and ways of overcoming, supporting factors for entrepreneurial initiatives, motivation factors for people in the diaspora to return to the country, facilities granted to entrepreneurs, etc.; — Supporting social innovation through the platform for supporting entrepreneurs, by including at least 90 women in the target group of the project and financing at least 11 business plans proposed by women; — Supporting development
