The general objective of the project is to encourage entrepreneurship in the urban area and self-employment in the West Region by informing min. 3000 people in the urban areas of the West region about existing opportunities in the field of entrepreneurship, but also in terms of project activities; development of an entrepreneurial training program for min. 300 people over the age of 18 with domicile or residence in the West Region, who intend to set up a non-agricultural business in the urban environment (min. 20 people from each county of the region) and support min. 36 non-agricultural entrepreneurial initiatives in their urban environment (min. 2 in each county of the West Region). Active measures proposed by the project: providing information services to identify the interests of individuals and their motivation to start an independent activity aimed at initiating and raising awareness among participants about opportunities, stages, tools and services related to initiating an independent activity; selection aimed at analysing and identifying the intrinsic entrepreneurial and managerial motivations and competences of individuals; providing an entrepreneurial training program aimed at filling gaps and acquiring specific skills, including through elaboration and a business plan; rebuilding and supporting the beneficiaries’ efforts to materialise the business idea by selecting and supporting 36 entrepreneurial initiatives and monitoring their development, including during the sustainability period. The project aims in particular to encourage initiatives with high growth potential, i.e. companies that seek ways to make things faster, more convenient and efficient, and their activities are closely related to innovation. At least 25 % of the business plans financed under the project will propose measures that will specifically promote the use and quality of ICT by implementing ICT solutions in the process of production/supply of goods, service provision and/or execution of works and at least 10 % of the business plans financed under the project will propose measures that will effectively promote the consolidation of research, technological development and/or innovation, through the development of specific activities. Even if this initiative requires substantial additional efforts, especially in identifying and persuading potential beneficiaries, from the perspective of objectives, results and impact, we consider it worthwhile to go beyond the min.e requirements of GS and to aim not only to try but also to document and prove that the results will support the assumptions from which we start. The information activity will be addressed to each urban community in the West region (online and through the mobile unit). But if we simply ask them a mortgage question
