General objective: Increasing the employment rate in the less developed regions of Romania in the context of increasing the capacity of 350 people in the diaspora to carry out sustainable business. The objective of the project is to support the growth of employment in less developed regions by attracting and supporting those people who have recently returned to Romania/planning their return to Romania and who have the intention and capacity to carry out entrepreneurial activities generating jobs and profitability as a result of their experience/expertise/studies acquired abroad. In accordance with the POCU objective to increase access to vocational training and employment stimulation, as well as with the thematic objective 8 of Priority Axis 3 to promote quality sustainable jobs and support workers’ mobility, the general objective of the project has the capacity to generate positive long-term effect by increasing the employment rate in the less developed regions of the country with at least 112 new jobs generated by the businesses financially supported by the project. As such, this result produces positive effects tangentially with the objective of the National Employment Strategy 2014-2020 of increasing employment. In addition, the long-term positive effects can also be measured by strengthening the entrepreneurial skills of the approximately 300 participants in the training course that will thus be able to open businesses in indicated regions based on business plans designed under the guidance of specialists in the field, which gives an increased degree of profitability and success of the business.
