The aim of the project is to contribute to the balanced socio-economic development of the village Letca Noua (Giurgiu county) which is currently marked by a degree of marginalisation above average and severe material deprivation among the population being high. The overall objective of the project is to reduce the prevalence of poverty in Letca Noua commune and to capitalise on the existing human resource, especially among groups at risk of poverty, material deprivation and living in households with a low work intensity through an integrated approach centred on the needs of the community. The project will contribute to the achievement of the specific objective of the Human Capital Operational Programme, Proritary Axis 4.2 by reducing the number of people at risk of poverty and social exclusion from the Letca Noua marginalised community by at least 150 people, implementing integrated measures. The situation revealed by the preliminary analysis of the community shows that in general people who are at risk of poverty are also materially deprived and live in households with a low work intensity. Thus, we will present the effects produced by the project among the target group of 560 people (consisting of 110 children, 400 adults and 50 people over 64 years old) by age categories, all people in the target group are at risk of poverty and social exclusion. A. The effects produced through integrated approach for the benefit of the 400 adults at risk of poverty, in severe material deprivation and those coming from households with low labor intensity will be: • Increasing the level of professional training through an integrated package of interventions that will include training courses (selected according to the economic profile of the area and the level of schooling of the target group), professional information, professional counselling and professional mediation. People at risk of poverty and social exclusion who will benefit from this integrated package of interventions will (a) have a more relevant vocational training for labour market requirements, (b) be more motivated and have an increased self-esteem and (c) will have increased chances of re/insertion on the labour market. — Increasing the employment rate and creating new jobs in the commune, by providing a package of integrated support services and entrepreneurial assistance that will include entrepreneurial information and counselling services, entrepreneurial skills courses, 45 start-up grants and mentoring for new entrepreneurs.
