The general objective that the project aims to achieve is to support and promote innovative entrepreneurship in urban areas in South East Region, by providing access to quality training in the field for 320 people included in the target group and by financing 38 business plans. The project will generate a long-term positive effect through the development of local entrepreneurship, social cooperation and solidarity, the provision of training programs to strengthen and develop the skills of vulnerable groups, which will benefit the entire economy and lead to the development of human capital and regional competitiveness. Financing and setting up 38 start-ups will lead to the development of new public-private partnerships in the economy, but also to the development of new opportunities for people with difficulties in integrating or reintegrating into the labour market. In accordance with the thematic objective of this call for projects, this financing request aims to create sustainable and quality jobs and support workers’ mobility. Also, according to Specific Objective 3.7, we consider increasing employment by supporting non-agricultural enterprises in the urban area. We consider the implementation of direct measures (targeting training, counselling and entrepreneurial support) and indirect measures (information activities and community awareness on ensuring equal opportunities and non-discriminatory access to training, employment and the promotion of partnerships between the public and the private sector) in order to contribute to achieving the objectives of the relevant strategic documents: National Strategy for Competitiveness 2014-2020, Government Strategy for the Development of the Small and Medium Enterprises Sector and Improving the Business Environment in Romania – Horizon 2020, National Strategy on Social Inclusion and Reduction of Poverty 2015-2020, National Strategy for Employment 2014-2020. In addition, in the preparation of the financing application, account was taken of ensuring consistency with the South East Regional Development Plan. Through the project we aim for an integrated approach, which directly contributes to the achievement of the objectives set by the national strategies mentioned, as follows: in the case of the National Competitiveness Strategy, this is done by linking with priorities (Strategic Priority 4: Promotion of the 10 sectors of the future and Strategic Priority 5: Preparing Generation 2050 and societal challenges) and its strategic objectives – improving access to finance for companies and especially SMEs, supporting SMEs to launch innovative products or services through venture capital funds, grants, collaborative projects, improving SME density relative to the population, strengthening and developing poles
