Increasing employment in the North West region by developing the entrepreneurial culture and establishing and subsidising 60 non-agricultural enterprises in the urban area in identified sectors, including innovative The long-term effect generated for the 450 people in the target group of the project consists of developing entrepreneurial skills and skills and supporting the establishment and development of a number of 60 sustainable and innovative businesses contributing directly to the sustainable economic development of North West Region. The immediate effect that the project generates is the creation of a minimum of 120 jobs related to the 60 funded enterprises contributing to the goal of the National Employment Strategy 2014-2020 to increase employment. The Romanian Entrepreneurial Ecosystem knows, in recent years, a significant change and, according to the analysis of the Romanian Entrepreneurship Barometer 2015, the most important obstacles to starting and developing a business in Romania are: fiscal unpredictability, heavy tax and regulatory system, tax level (49 %), difficult access to finance (18 %) lack of entrepreneurial and professional education and entrepreneurial culture (14 %). Our project addresses these challenges by providing integrated entrepreneurial training services, entrepreneurial development seminars on innovative topics (social innovation and information and communication technology), internships, counselling, consulting and mentoring, elements that will develop a culture of entrepreneurial risk assumption and qualitative knowledge of business administration that will generate sustainable businesses that will contribute to the development of the region. The project aims to develop entrepreneurial skills, including training on business development with a focus on innovative technologies or fields of activity with a high degree of innovation (ICT, social innovation, sustainable development, transition to a low carbon economy, development of new goods/products/technologies) for a significant number of people – 450 (of which 400 benefit from authorised NCA entrepreneurial training). Thus, our proposal will generate positive and multiplier effects in the medium and long term, even those who will not get grants having greater opportunities to start independent businesses/activities. Entrepreneurship thus becomes a viable option for their career. By supporting the establishment and financing of the 60 new enterprises, the project will contribute to generating positive effects on several levels by improving the economic status of a significant number of people from the North West region both from the target group – the entrepreneurs directly involved in the development of startups – as well as their employees and families.
