The general objective of the project is to reduce the number of people at risk of poverty and social exclusion from the marginalised community studied in which there are Roma minority population, by supporting the socio-economic integration of 600 people from the marginalised community resident in the intervention area including the “Henri Coanda” social campus, using integrated measures to improve the level of education among Roma and non-Roma preschoolers and pupils, to stimulate the employability of jobseekers and those who intend to start a self-employment activity, as well as to increase access to high-quality social and healthcare services. Through its multi-sectoral character, the project proposes all-encompassing solutions to solve the multiple problems faced by residents of the “Henri Coandă” social campus, directly contributing to the achievement of the specific objective of POCU and that of this call for projects, namely reducing the number of Roma and non-Roma people at risk of poverty and social exclusion living in marginalised communities. As regards the education sector, the project generates long-term benefits for pupils in the community, the proposed activities aimed at preventing early school leaving and promoting equal access to pre-primary, primary and secondary education. In addition, the project directly contributes to reducing early school leaving by reintegrating early school leavers into education, with beneficial effects on their chances of realising their educational potential and pursuing further learning pathways. The project also creates the prerequisites for developing the emerging personality of the target group pupils, helping to improve their perspectives to achieve higher school results and to pass national exams and other school and extracurricular competitions. The contribution of the project to increasing the integration capacity of community members in the labour market derives from the variety of active employment measures that it entails: carrying out information, mediation and individual professional counselling activities, providing training programmes, providing consultancy, assistance and training services for the development of entrepreneurial culture and skills, as well as business start-up grants, etc. Interventions in the field of employment provide young people and adults in the target group with increased employment opportunities, the acquisition of a job being essential to ensure decent income and living conditions, but also to eliminate the risk of social exclusion of current and future generations. In the long run, it’s waiting
