The general objective of the project is to facilitate the development of the social economy sector in the North-West region of Romania by strengthening the capacity of social enterprises to operate in a self-sustainable manner. The general objective of the project contributes to the specific objective POCU 4.16 Strengthening the capacity of social economy enterprises to operate in a sustainable manner and investment priority 9v “Promoting social entrepreneurship and vocational integration in social enterprises and social and solidarity economy to facilitate access to employment” under Priority Axis 4 Social inclusion and combating poverty. The project contributes to the achievement of the specific objective 4.16 of POCU through (1) the development of a vocational training program for the entrepreneur occupation in the social economy COR 112032 and of a program to improve entrepreneurial skills for 120 persons selected to be part of the target group of the project, (2) financing 21 business plans for the establishment of social enterprises in the North-West region of Romania, (3) personalised counselling/consultancy services in the field of entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship for beneficiaries of grants during the implementation of business plans, monitoring services for the functioning and development of funded businesses, (4) development of a support platform and social economy creation (5). The project, through the proposed activities, will generate a long-term positive effect contributing to increasing the sustainability of social enterprises in the North-West region of Romania
