The general objective of the project is to increase the employment rate by creating and occupying 150 new jobs following the establishment of 75 new non-agricultural enterprises in the urban areas related to the counties of the Centre Region (Sibiu, Brasov, Mures, Alba, Harghita, Covasna). Through the implementation of the integrated measures proposed within the project, the aim is to encourage entrepreneurship and self-employment by providing assistance and support for the establishment of non-agricultural enterprises in the 6 counties of the Center region concerned. The project activities will take place in the following cities: Sibiu, Brasov, St. George, Miercurea Ciuc, Targu Mures and Alba Iulia, and businesses will develop in the urban environment in the 6 counties. In the first phase, the initiators consider initiating a comprehensive information campaign on the entrepreneurial training programme, as well as the methodology for selecting the target group (GT) and, subsequently, the business plans (PA) that will be supported within the project. Subsequently, it is envisaged to select 400 people belonging to several categories of GT defined in this guide (300 persons inactive and 100 employees), in order to participate in entrepreneurial training courses. The measures proposed by this project will be addressed to the following categories of natural persons: unemployed, inactive people, people who have a job and set up a business in order to create new jobs, students, etc. who intend to set up a non-agricultural business in the urban area in the Centre Region. Young NEETs, as well as persons who do not have residence/residents in the Centre Region, will be excluded from funding. By achieving the general objective assumed, the project contributes to the achievement of the main specific objective of the POCU programme, namely the development of human resources by increasing access to a quality education and training system, stimulating employment, especially for young people, reducing poverty and social exclusion by facilitating access to social and health services and the call for projects “POCU/82/3/7/Enhancing employment by supporting non-agricultural enterprises in the urban area”, financed by Priority Axis 3/Thematic Objective 8/Investment Priority 8.iii – Independent activities, entrepreneurship and enterprise establishment, including micro enterprises and innovative small and medium-sized enterprises, proposing programs to develop entrepreneurial and managerial skills and skills for 400 people (75 % inactive and 25 % employees) from the Centre region, and setting up 75 new businesses in the region, thus contributing to increasing the employment rate among inactive or unemployed people in the target area and a positive boost in the local and regional economy.
