Taking into account the objectives of the Human Capital Operational Programme, the National Strategy for Research, Development and Innovation 2014-2020, which aims to support smart specialisations, taking into account the national areas of excellence set out in the National Strategy for Competitiveness 2015-2020 and the National Reform Programme on Accelerating Reforms in the Education System, Titu Maiorescu University as applicant proposes the project “Practiceships in the Center of Excellence in Cyber Security in Cloud” – with CyberX acronym. The proposed project supports students (ISCED 5-7) whose home or residence is in less developed regions of Romania and will result in an increase in the number of university graduates who find a job as a result of access to learning activities through effective practice in order to increase operational and technical capacity, in order to ensure the national capabilities for prevention, identification, analysis and reaction to cyber security incidents and will optimise the educational offer through social partnership, centered on the training and development of professional and transversal skills required on the labour market, among which we list: the ability to understand the phenomenon and the issues of cyber/informatic security, the ability to operate, in an integrated manner, with fundamental concepts specific to cyber attacks and security, the ability to interpret in the computer context the application of the techniques to protect computing systems and information systems, the ability to create robust and secure software applications with applicability in cyber security, the ability to use IT tools specific to the security of information systems and data security. Also, continuing the above list, the ability to implement specific cryptographic algorithms and use software applications and platforms to ensure the security of computing systems that can function and cloud computing infrastructures, the ability to understand legal issues related to cybercrime, as well as the design, implementation, testing, evaluation, administration and maintenance of computer protection and security applications using various programming languages and cloud computing technologies. Another set of transversal competencies required on the labour market and acquired through the project refers to the application of the rules of organised work, understanding the responsibilities and compliance with the rules of professional ethics and those of security and confidentiality of personal data, identification of the role in an interdisciplinary team and taking responsibility corresponding to the professional and personal profile, communication and efficient transfer of knowledge between
