“#FAPTE: Establishment of preschool groups at Gradinita No. 53, Secondary School with Gradinita No. 144 and Garden No. 169 Green Paradise

The general objective of the project is to increase the participation in preschool education of children from marginalised backgrounds and/or belonging to the Roma minority, in order to reduce the risk of early school leaving, through (1) the development of new early education services within three existing educational institutions in Sector 5, Bucharest, thus increasing the capacity of the preschool education service in the sector with 75 places; (2) ensuring access to 75 children from disadvantaged backgrounds, of which at least 25 from the Roma community, to preschool education services and materials; (3) Increase the professional training of 18 persons belonging to the teaching staff of the EÎCP, thus increasing the quality of pre-school services and contributing in the long term to increasing the quality of education; (4) Supporting vulnerable families with information and counselling measures, ensuring an increase of their information about the child’s development and psychology, as well as raising their awareness about key elements in the child’s development. Through these measures, the project will directly contribute to specific objective 6.2 by proposing concrete solutions for increasing participation in pre-school and pre-school education and targeting disadvantaged children and children from the Roma community, both at risk of early school leaving. The project contributes to the achievement of the specific objective of the programme (6.2) by providing access to pre-school education services for 75 children aged 0-2 years, thus increasing participation in pre-school and pre-school education through the following interventions with long-term impact: • The development of three preschool education sections in three functional education institutions in sector 5, thus increasing the supply of pre-school education in the sector, facilitating the community’s access to educational services and facilitating a smoother transition of children from preschool to preschool. In the long term, by increasing the existing capacity in early education, the project will contribute to ensuring quality and equitable education not only for the target group, but for the entire community assigned to the area, contributing to reducing the risk of early school leaving and increasing the enrolment rate in pre- and pre-school education. • Ensuring easy and equal access for children from the Roma community and from disadvantaged backgrounds to services and learning materials dedicated to children between 0 and 2 years old, in an inclusive and appropriate environment for their needs, through teachers involved in their development and who will benefit from specific quality training. • Facilitate the increase of knowledge and competences of 18 teachers to provide pre-preschool education services in conditions of optimal development of children. Thus we contribute to increasing quality in the edu process
