The GENERAL objective of the project is to improve the level of knowledge/competence/skills of the employees working in the economic sectors with competitive potential identified according to the NCNS and the fields of intelligent specialisation according to SNCDI through training for a number of 732 employees within the Applicant, who work in economic sectors with competitive potential, identified according to the NCNS and in the fields of intelligent specialisation according to SNCDI, over 18 months in less developed regions of Romania. The project falls within the applicant’s field of activity, i.e. in the eligible economic sector with competitive potential, according to the NSC “Energy and Environmental Management” and in the field of intelligent specialisation identified by SNCDI -“ENERGY, MEDIU AND CLIMATICE SCHIMBARI”. The applicant carries out his activity under the authorised eligible CAEN code: “3513 Electricity distribution” within this sector, in Annex 5 to the Applicant’s Guide, this CAEN code being classified under “Energy and Environmental Management”. We would point out that, according to SNCDI, there is an intrinsic link between this sector and the field of “ENERGY, MEDIUM AND CLIMATIAL SCHIMBARI”, the applicant’s activity being included in this field of intelligent specialisation. Thus, the activity performed by the Applicant is included both in a competitive economic sector (according to the NCS) and in a field of intelligent specialisation (according to SNCDI), and by achieving the general objective will facilitate the development of the competitiveness of the Romanian workforce, in order to reduce the development disparities between the regions of the EU Member States, thus converging with the general objective of the European Social Fund. According to SNCDI and this guide, and as evidenced by the Certificate of Finding attached to this financing application, the applicant’s activity is directly correlated with the field of intelligent specialisation identified by SNCDI “Energy, Environment and Climate Change”, the central element of his activity and his fundamental values related to innovation, excellence and entrepreneurship. The company’s activity is directly correlated with the values and objectives of SNCDI, being found in the principles of action of the Strategy at "Pillar 1. Companies become key players in innovation – taking the risk of innovative behaviour is stimulated by fiscal mechanisms and supported by public and private financial instruments." – this is one of the three main pillars that uphold the principles of action of the Strategy. The persons who will represent the target group for this project carry out their activity within the above-mentioned CAEN code, at the applicant’s premises/points in Arges, Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinti, Olt, Teleorman, Valcea counties.
