Promoting social inclusion, social and solidarity entrepreneurship through the establishment and support of 32 social economy enterprises in South-West Oltenia Region, Romania. Through this project, the Applicant aims to support the establishment of 32 social economy entities, to strengthen their financial capacity and indirectly to support people in newly established social enterprises (employees, members, volunteers, etc.). Asftel, the project aims to contribute through its interventions to: establishment and subsidisation of 32 social enterprises with amounts between EUR 55,000 – EUR 100,000 maximum. This project, through the proposed interventions and activities, contributes to the achievement of Thematic Objective 9 – Promoting social inclusion, combating poverty and any form of discrimination (social economy entities supporting vulnerable people, advising the social economy and developing social services. Thus, social inclusion, combating poverty and any form of discrimination is supported within the project by the social impact pursued within social enterprises that aim through the social mission assumed to support categories of vulnerable/disadvantaged groups through their access to the products and services offered or by creating social enterprises of insertion where applicants opt for this variant whose mission is dedicated to social inclusion and socio-economic integration of people from vulnerable groups as defined in Law 219/2015. Regardless of the type of social enterprise, according to the Applicant’s Guide there is the obligation to employ a minimum of 2 persons plus their social purpose. Regarding the consolidation of the social economy and the development of social services, both the granting of grants for business development and the functioning of courses in entrepreneurship and social economy, respectively consultancy in attracting non-reimbursable financing for the persons whose business plan has been selected, represent levers and concrete instruments that lead to the administrative-financial consolidation of a newly established social enterprise. Considering that social economy entities have the role conferred by law to produce goods/services that contribute to social well-being and at the same time to the inclusion of people belonging to vulnerable groups on the labour market (in the case of social enterprises insertion), the selection of 32 business plans for the development of all social enterprises, their subsidisation after the spriin granted for professional training will have a direct impact on the achievement of investment priority 9.v.
