Insertion of medical graduates on the labor market, through the development of practical skills training internships – Medpro

The general objective of the project/Project goal is to facilitate the transition from school to active life by participating in work-based learning activities, counselling and professional guidance for the improvement of professional competences and skills of 360 students from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy from the Bachelor’s Degree Studies – Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dental Medicine, in order to increase their ability to successfully and sustainably insert themselves on the labour market. The project aims to develop the work skills of medical students (general medicine and dental medicine) within the internships, their career orientation and the promotion of partnerships in order to ease the transition process from school to active life. Thus, the skills acquired during university studies will be improved by deepening them within simulated and applied internships, carried out both through the project partner and in the medical offices and laboratories with which will be concluded partnerships within the project. The general objective of the project contributes to the achievement of Specific Objective 6.13 Increasing the number of university and non-university tertiary education graduates who find a job as a result of access to learning activities to a potential job/research/innovation, with a focus on economic sectors with competitive potential identified according to NCNS and smart specialisation fields according to SNCDI, within the Human Capital Operational Programme 2014-2020, by developing the working skills of students in transition from education to the labour market and, consequently, improving their insertion on the labour market, by carrying out learning activities to a potential job. The aim of the project is to increase the number of medical graduates who find a job as a result of access to learning activities to a potential job. The project’s classification in Priority Axis 6, Investment Priority 10.iv is justified by the fact that the project actions are aimed at facilitating the transition from education to the labour market by adapting education programs and establishing and developing learning systems in the workplace. The POCU GENERAL OBJECTIVE CONTRIBUTION project, which sets out the investment priorities, specific objectives and actions assumed by Romania in the field of human resources, thus continuing the investments made through the European Social Fund in the period 2007-2013 and also contributing to the achievement of the general objective of the Partnership Agreement (PA 2014-2020) and implicitly of the European Structural and Investment Funds in Romania, namely, to reduce the disparities in economic and social development between Romania and the Member States of the EU.
