Support – Integrated services for independent life skills

GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT: Improving the access of children and young people ready to leave the institutionalised special child protection system in the North-East Region to sustainable integrated community services that ensure the acquisition of socio-professional and independent living skills. Through the proposed objectives and activities, as well as the expected results, the project produces a significant and lasting change in the quality of life of children and young people who leave the institutionalised protection system in the North-East Region. The project will identify 90 young people and children (including young people at risk – people with disabilities, children who have left school or are at risk of dropping out of school, young people who have followed long periods of institutionalisation or who have difficulties in falling on the labour market) in the North-East Region who are about to parade or have left the institutionalised protection system. The project foresees not only the provision of “First Room” services, but the creation of an integrated and sustainable framework that will improve access to community services and thus ensure the transition of children and young people to an independent life, thus generating positive long-term effects. So, besides providing financial support to provide a home for 43 young people from the North-East region, the project generates long-term impact, improving access to integrated services for 90 children and young people during the implementation of the project: support for acquiring independent living skills, support for integration in society, psychological counseling, digitisation workshops, non-formal education, support for integration into the labour market. 60 of the TG members will also benefit from qualification courses. The project also proposes components related to ensuring the sustainability and transferability of the intervention proposed by the project (described in detail under the section “Sustainability”). Improving GT’s access to community services generates long-term effects by calibrating services to GT needs: — Quality services, calibrated on the needs of the target group The proposed services will have a high level of quality and utility, ensured primarily by addressing the specific needs of each child or young person individually. The situation of potential beneficiaries of the services will be identified and analysed in detail based on the knowledge and experience of the specialists involved, using methodologies and working tools adapted to the project and target group concerned, as well as through the rigorous collection of the necessary information from the community.
