Nest – Home where the good begins

The aim of the PROJECT is to support the transition from an institutionalised system to independent living by providing measures for the socio-professional integration of institutionalised or post-institutionalised young people so as to give them the opportunity to lead a dignified life and to play an active role in society. The GENERAL objective of the project is to develop independent living skills in 126 children and young people from the vulnerable group of young people institutionalised or who have left the protection system, between 16 and 25 years old in Maramureș County by implementing INTEGRATE measures for prevention, intervention and compensation based on an individualised support plan (PIS). The general and specific objectives of the project are takeovers from the programme that supports them and constitute the strong elements of the project plan. They respect national strategies and policy objectives and are in line with the objectives and purpose of the organisation, such as ensuring a viable social services structure that meets the needs of groups in a state of social exclusion, ensuring the quality of the services provided, developing information, counselling and mediation services in the internal labour market for vulnerable groups, developing civic awareness of young people, target group and developing a responsible attitude towards social issues, through social programmes dedicated to them, providing formal, informal and non-formal training courses, ensuring adequate personnel resources, operational costs, social infrastructure. The proposed project is an approach whereby the Applicant has the desire for young people leaving special protection to benefit from the best possible training and support in the transition from the institutionalised system to the period after leaving this system. The project contributes to the specific objective 4.12 Reducing the number of children and young people placed in institutions by providing community-based services and Specific Objective 4.13 Increasing the number of young people leaving the institutionalised system (up to the age of 18) ready for independent living, from AP4, pii9.iv, by providing community services for 126 children and young people (sum of output indicators 4S59 and 4S213), contributing to the achievement of 4S52 result indicators.
