THE GATE TO A DREAM OLD LADY!

Reducing the number of elderly people in situations of dependence and/or at risk of social exclusion by providing social and social-medical services to 162 elderly people. Through activities aimed at people in the target group (A 2 Provision of integrated social services for elderly people: home care services that will consist of basic and instrumental care activities provided in an integrated system with medical services and socio-medical services through the Day Center for Elderly People where there will be activities of socialisation such as club and health monitoring services). The project aims to reduce by 91 persons the number of elderly people in situations of dependence and/or at risk of social exclusion. Contribution of the project to the achievement of the specific objective of the program and call. Through the assumed indicators (162 elderly people in situations of dependence and/or at risk of social exclusion benefit from the services offered in the project, out of which 91 will overcome the situation of dependence/risk of exclusion), through their activities and results (establishment and provision of services through the Day Center for Elderly People and Home Care Services for elderly people) the project contributes to the achievement of the Specific Objective 4.4. Reducing the number of people belonging to vulnerable groups by providing social/medical/socio-professional services. Long-term positive effect. By providing social-medical and home care services for elderly people, the project will gradually overcome the situation of dependence in the target group. The medical support offered, that of regaining mobility and confidence in movement, psychological support will lead to a change of attitude and perception of age, learning that in the long term the target group will emerge from the traditional-behavioral perception of the “old = helpless” type. Also, in the long term, another positive effect will be that of regaining trust in society, which even if technologically evolved and unfolded in the speed century, do not forget and do not neglect “the village’s minds”, the project encouraging through A 2 the active involvement of older people in current themes and capitalising on their life experiences in ideas/projects for the community, all of which contribute to cancelling the perception of the person marginalised by age, expelled in loneliness, on the periphery of society, to cancel the sense of social futility. Another effect is to regain older people as a valuable human resource by discussing the volunteering practiced by the elderly.
