The general objective of the project is to develop an integrated services mechanism that eliminates the determinants of marginalisation of people at risk of poverty and social exclusion from the marginalised community of Twilight, identified in the territorial area of Sector 5 of Bucharest, offering complex measures for a total of 300 people, children and adults, in order to increase access and participation in education, solving the problem of vocational education/training and occupation, improving housing conditions, increasing access to social services and improving the general health of the population. The project uses an integrated, multisectoral approach to social inclusion – increasing access to social services, health, education, employment, as well as preparing desegregation and improving housing conditions, thus meeting POCU’s specific objective 4.1 as these integrated measures will bring about change in the marginalised community in terms of access to economic, educational and social resources for people at risk of poverty and social exclusion, including Roma people. In terms of long-term benefits for the target group, the project contributes to increasing participation in vocational training in view of further transition on the labour market, thus increasing the standard of living and creating the premises for horizontal development of the community. The main benefit of the project is that the interventions carried out will offer real chances of removing from poverty and social integration of 300 people who are at risk of poverty, face severe material deprivation and/or live in households with an extremely low intention of the activity.
