Turnkey future – the first room

The idea of the project started from the organizational portfolio of the 3 partners who have experience in providing services to vulnerable groups, especially children, vulnerable groups at risk of poverty and social execution. All 3 partners, in the current activity, encountered difficult situations in which they had to focus on the risk of separating the child from the family and understand the effects of such a decision and that in this situation, children/young people being in the care of the state means that they are in the care of everyone, and the “community” should be directly interested in their becoming because they are part of its future. It is the context in which the expression “needs a village to raise a child” is most verified. Thus, that through the project we will focus on the involvement of the community in supporting these children and young people to find their place in the middle of it. Specifically in this project we aim to address the complexity of this social issue, and using the opportunities brought by GS CS AP 4/PI 9.iv/4.12, 4.13 to propose an integrated and innovative solution to support the transition of children and young people from GT towards social inclusion, towards a fulfilling life. The needs of this GT are complex, needing support in personal development in order to “face life”, to have independent life skills, as well as professional skills to facilitate access to the labour market that will guarantee financial independence. Only together these two types of intervention, in an integrated approach, will truly support their inclusion in leaving the protection system. European best practice lessons start with the Europe 2020 strategy that recommends “access to childcare centres for the population” (page 21), which means having high-quality, licensed and functional social services. Through the project we address children and young people who are going to leave the institutionalised system of protection of children and/or young people who have left the institutionalised child protection system in the North West Region, mainly in Maramures and Salaj counties, being the counties where the partnership already has in place projects addressed to vulnerable groups, in which he collaborated with the relevant institutions, so they have a starting basis represented by inter-institutional collaboration and experience in specialised interventions (Applicant in employment measures, P1 in personal development/independent life skills, P2 community involvement in solving social problems and children’s development). At national level, the share of those leaving the highest projection system is represented by young people who have reached the age stipulated by law for this, approx. 60 % (page 87 of the Map of prevention services in source communities and alternative services to residential care developed by the general social assistance and protection directorates
