Developing the social economy sector and community welfare by supporting the establishment of 24 social enterprises and increasing people’s ability to materialise innovative social business ideas by developing entrepreneurial and managerial skills for 105 people who want to set up social enterprises. This project contributes to the achievement of the general objective of POCU “human resources development”, due to the activities aimed at developing entrepreneurial skills in conjunction with those specific to the management of innovation and technology transfer for a target group of at least 105 people over the age of 18 who intend to set up a social business in urban and rural areas in one of the less developed regions in Romania and the Centre region. The project develops increased opportunities for setting up innovative new businesses (funding of 24 innovative social economy structures, 6 of which in rural areas) that will generate in the short and long term new jobs for people belonging to vulnerable groups, which will contribute to increasing competitiveness in the less developed regions of Romania, as well as to the social development of the community, but not least to the intelligent development of a sustainable economic environment, thanks to the assistance and support activities carried out within the project, through the partnership. The final goal of the project is that through formal and non-formal entrepreneurial education, with a focus on social entrepreneurship, at the level of less developed regions, based on social innovation and technological innovation, to increase the ability of individuals to materialise business ideas, this being achieved by promoting the entrepreneurial culture based on social innovation, supporting and supporting the new social affairs set up, which will contribute to the achievement of the thematic objective9 – Priority Axis 4-POCU. In the long term, the positive effect of the project is given by: developing skills is social entrepreneurship based on social innovation among at least 105 people, disseminating and acquiring the concepts of innovative entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial culture and social responsibility, transferring expertise and practical experiences to the target group, which will generate an increase in the number of social economy structures and their efficient management, strengthening the capacity of innovative social enterprises to develop and create new jobs targeted at vulnerable groups. Taking into account all these aspects mentioned above, the specific objective of investment priority 9v of POCU will be achieved.
