GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT: Reducing the number of children entering residential institutions, through the development of community services aimed at preventing the separation of children from parents, in Mures and Brasov counties. Through the proposed objectives and activities, as well as the expected results, the project produces a significant and lasting change in the quality of life of children at risk of separation from the family from the 2 counties concerned (Mures and Brasov) related to the Centre region. The project will identify and monitor 230 children at risk of family separation, 190 from Mures county and 40 from Brasov county. The actual identification and monitoring activities will also be supported by the creation of 2 inter-institutional networks, one at the level of each county, consisting of representatives of public authorities and institutions, as well as NGOs and other private actors (e.g. independent specialists) with roles in child protection, support and education. The 230 children will benefit from complex social services through day care centers (4 day centers, 3 in Mures county and 1 in Brasov county, developed through the project). At the same time, accompanying children at risk of separation will also be done by providing material aids that contribute to reducing the degree of social and economic vulnerability, as well as by organising and running 3 socialisation, skills development and self-esteem camps (2 pt Mures and 1 for Brasov). The proposed services will have a high level of quality and utility, primarily by addressing the specific needs of each child and his family of origin. The situation of the potential beneficiaries of the services will be identified and analysed in detail based on the knowledge and experience of the specialists involved, using methodologies and working tools adapted to the project and the target group concerned, as well as through the rigorous collection of the necessary information from the community, both by using innovative methods such as the telephone helpline made available to the project, as well as by consulting relevant local organisations. In this regard, a collaboration agreement was concluded with DAS Targu Mures and DAS Brasov and was obtained a statement of support from the schools in Targu Mures and Brasov that will host day care centers for children at risk of separation from parents. In addition, S provides the project with the space for the day centre for counseling and support licensed in Targu Mures and the existing helpline telephone line at the level of the organisation and already known to the public for identifying and monitoring cases of children at risk of separation in the region, as well as for providing support for access to social services through it, allocating through the project dedicated specialists
