General objective: Develop and implement a multi-regional action plan and measures to prevent early school leaving and maintain 270 children at risk in education with one or both parents abroad. Innovative guidance and counselling programs for children with parents away abroad and the parent or person who care for these children, educational support and financial support for students as well as information and awareness campaigns are also considered. Operations will aim to ensure stimulating access to education, reducing absenteeism, increasing motivation for learning and staying in the education system for people who are at risk of leaving school early, by developing alternative summer/Sunday school solutions within existing parish centers in a community-school partnership. Funded interventions to prevent and reduce early school leaving will be targeted at children at risk of dropping out or leaving school due to the departure of one parent or both parents abroad, who will be provided with basic skills and competences. Support for innovation and the development of tools and mechanisms for improving access to and retention in education, as well as counselling and support activities through psycho-social services. Development and implementation of summer/Sunday school programmes and recreational activities. Operations will aim to contribute to basic education, increase access to and participation in education, reduce absenteeism and increase motivation for learning. The objective of the project responds directly to OS 6.2 and 6.3 which refer to increasing participation in education and reducing early school leaving through integrated measures to prevent and ensure equal opportunities for pupils belonging to vulnerable groups, with a focus on rural children and Roma. The long-term results will be reflected by increasing the level of education and maintaining education for the most vulnerable groups, children with parents away abroad and without family support, for 270 beneficiaries from the target group and counselling and mentoring in order to understand the importance of early education and intervention, as well as their role in the education of children, for 150 parents or those who have remained in care of these children. In the long term, the proposed actions will have an impact on reducing early school leaving by at least 80 % among children participating in the project and the risk of early school leaving by at least 25 % compared to the current situation in the target areas.
